Accessories-
Our accessories section contains some items already found in our product kits,
as well as some items only available in this section. Many boaters choose to
purchase an additional pump, hose and thru-hull fitting for a second boat, or
another battery for those long excursions. Our anchor pad and straps have become
some of our most popular items, used to secure a dry box anywhere in a boat
or raft. Since sea kayaks make use of several different foot brace pedal brands,
we offer the two most popular models on our website for attachment of our waterproof
electric on/off foot switch.
1000 GPH Bilge Pump
Factory tested 1000 GPH Johnson-Mayfair Proline style bilge pump. Pump can be run while fully submerged, or run dry without damage. Each pump comes with factory direct 16 gauge non-spliced one piece special order 54" wire leads (not the standard 30"). This allows for more versatility on installation. A quick release bracket allows for easy removal and cleaning, as well as switching between pumps of different capacity.
The 1000 GPH pump will remove water at a rate of 16.6 gallons per minute.
At 8 pounds per gallon, this relieves your boat of 133 pounds of excess weight
per minute (with fully charged battery, at zero inch hose height. As the height
of the discharge hose increases, the pump output will decrease slightly). The
pump will leave approximately 1/4" of water on the bottom of the boat.
This 1000 GPH pump with its 4 Amp draw will drain a 3.3 Amp battery in about
50 minutes. Keep in mind that this is 50 minutes of time that the pump is actually
on. This may translate to several trips.
The 1000 GPH bilge pump has a nominal operating voltage of 12 volts, with
a cut off voltage between 9 and 10 volts. This 1000 GPH pump has a 4.0 Amp draw
(in water), and requires a 5 Amp fuse (included in battery pack). Weight without
hose or plug is 14 oz.
The purchase of a second pump also comes in handy if you own a second boat. Many boaters leave their pumps attached, while moving their waterproof battery box from boat to boat.

Replacement Batteries (micro dry box case not included)
Should the need arise, we provide replacement batteries for all of the models we offer. For those who take multi-day paddling excursions, a second fully charged battery is more convenient to take along than a battery charger. Replacement batteries are not interchangeable with different types of dry box cases (i.e. - A replacement Polymer Lithium battery will not fit into a Nickel Metal Hydride micro dry box case. All battery packs are specifically designed to fit into their respective cases, and are not interchangeable).

Battery Chargers
Chargers are NOT interchangeable with batteries of different types. Improper charger use may result in battery damage, and serious personal injury.

These fittings are made of high quality anodized colored aluminum, available in straight and 45 degree angle outlet.
Foot Pedals - (Foot Pedals currently not available)
We offer individual purchase of the Keepers foot brace pedals, and the Yakima foot brace pedals. These are available for the attachment of our waterproof electric on/off foot switch. They come with predrilled holes and the nut and bolt hardware needed to quickly and easily attach your foot switch. From there you simply slide the foot pedal on your kayak’s foot brace rail, behind your existing foot pedal, and you're ready to go. If your foot pedals are already placed all the way forward in the compartment, the switch can be mounted on a small foam block.
Straps
Our cam buckle straps are 2 feet long, and come with a buckle pad already sewn on. They are perfect for lashing down one of our battery boxes (or a Pelican dry box) to one of our specially designed anchor pads.
Anchor Pads
This anchor pad has been specially created by Whitewater Designs Inc. for Rapid Runner Bilge Systems, to be used to hold down any of the battery dry boxes we offer. Many paddlers choose to purchase a second anchor pad for a second boat. This has become our most popular accessory item. Many boaters purchase this pad to hold down their Pelican dry boxes inside their canoes, kayaks, or rafts. Comes in Hypalon rubber or vinyl.
The Hypalon pad comes "pre-buffed" by sander before it is die cut, so you only need to roughen the area of the boat that comes in contact with the bottom of the pad. Because the bottom of the pad is pre-buffed there is no risk of damaging the stitching that holds the webbing to the pad. The Hypalon pad adheres very well to Royalex, fiberglass, Kevlar, aluminum and, of course, Hypalon, all with Shore adhesive.
A vinyl pad will adhere to Royalex and vinyl, with Vynabond and MEK.
Always check with your boat manufacturer for instruction before gluing down any items to your boat.
T-Shirts
Our Rapid Runner Bilge System T-Shirts are 100% cotton, and come in small, medium, large and X-large. Our logo appears on the front, as well as the back (as shown). Currently T-Shirts are available in white, with a front pocket.
